DAY BY DAY PROGRAM
Friday, June 18, 2010
Pierre Jodlowski has designed an immersive installation where the user interacts intuitively and intelligently with the sonorous and visual environment.
Mortuos Plango, vivos voco
Composed by Jonathan Harvey in 1980, this electro-acoustic masterpiece blends together the composer’s son’s voice, a chorister, and the harmonies of the bell at Winchester cathedral (using CHANT software for the synthesized voiced created at IRCAM).
"A dead father would have been perhaps a better father. The best father is stillborn. Grass grows over the border ever anew. Again and again the grass that grows over the border must be torn out."
Images of a Work #8
Screening and meeting with the authors as a part of the "D'abord" series at the Athénée.
Tribute to Odile Duboc
The unexpected death of the choreographer Odile Duboc on April 23, 2010 interrupted her work-in-progress, l’Ombre double. In keeping with the artist’s wishes, this work will not be performed. On June 18, an exceptional evening will bring together the dancers and soloists who worked together on l’Ombre double, music by Bach and Boulez, and filmed moments of Odile Duboc’s career.
